The results increase knowledge about the health of children and adolescents as well as the social factors affecting their health. The findings support policies and practices that promote children's and adolescents' health.
The international survey is completed by hundreds of thousands of 11-, 13-, and 15-year-old children and adolescents from Europe, North America, and Asia. The study has been ongoing for over 40 years.
